    Responsibilities

    • Offer and provide for the emotional, physical, and social needs of children (ages 0-14) during the time they are in Faith Formation.
    •  Interact with the children and encourage their involvement in activities.
    • Maintain a warm, safe environment that is orderly, clean, and appealing.
    • Teach them about Jesus, the Bible, the traditions of the church, and progressive Christianity.
    • Prepare weekly lessons based on provided curriculum 

     

    the ideal candidate will:

    • be a person of faith (any Christian denomination); be nurturing, caring, patient caregiver; 

    • be progressive in your understanding of God and your orientation to the Bible; 

    • have an outgoing personality and ability to work well with children; 

    • have CPR and First Aid Certification (required within three months of employment); 

    • satisfactory complete a background check; be responsible, enthusiastic, and at least 18 years old; 

    • have experience working with children;

    • provide two references 

    • not be a member of Westfield Church 

       

    Time requirements and Compensation:

        • Compensation is $50 per week worked

        •  Sundays from 9:30am-11:30am

        • Monthly Christian Ed. Meetings Mandatory

        • We prefer teachers who are available throughout the year and who are interested in longer-term commitments. 

      NURSERY CARE PROVIDER

       


      Responsibilities

      • Offer and provide for the emotional, physical, and social needs of young children (infant age 3) during the time they are in the church nursery;
      • Interact with the children and encourage their involvement in activities;
      • Maintain a warm, safe environment that is orderly, clean, and appealing;
      • Signing children in and out of nursery to parents only
      • Additional Childcare Opportunities throughout the year 

       

      QUALIFICATIONS:

      • Babysitting/childcare experience with reference; background early childhood development desirable

      • Must be nurturing, caring, patient caregiver;

      • Outgoing personality and ability to work well with children;

      • CPR and First Aid Certification required (within three months of employment);

      • Satisfactory completion of background check;

      • Must be 18 years or older.

      • Unless ill, attendance is mandatory. Should the Nursery Care Provider be unable to work on a Sunday, replacement coverage must be found and communicated tot he Director of Christian Education or the Christian Education Board Members at least 24 hours in advance. Three vacation Sundays (min. notice of a week required) and up to three sick Sundays (min. notice of 24 hours required).

      • No cell phone use during work hours (except in emergencies)

         

         

      Time requirements and Compensation:

          • Pay is $35 per Sunday
          • Hours: Sundays, 9:30 am – 11:30 am
