Serving the quiet corner

a commitment for more than 300 years.

caring for the heart of killingly

We’ve always been a community church. Descending from the first congregation in Killingly, it’s in our DNA as a community of faith. And while many congregations do remarkable global mission work, we find our passion lies here in our community.

We provide space for a number of community groups to meet as well as support for their programming. We’ve also spearheaded financial support for community efforts. Members of our church, as well as our pastor, take the lead in community events from Bike Night to the Great Tomato Festival.

When tragedy strikes, it’s our church whose doors were open to the town to keep vigil and when controversy erupted over our high school mascot, our members were outside the high school before a tense town meeting with candlelight, hugs, and cookies (to remind folks to tell the truth and be sweet).

Feed my lambs

In the gospel of John, Jesus tells Peter three times to “Feed my lambs.” We don’t take that lightly. We’re keenly aware of the food insecurity in our area and regularly prepare meals for those in need through monthly Be Our Guest suppers on the second Friday of each month.
