The Reverend Doctor Jonathan Chapman
PASTOR AND TEACHER
The Rev. Dr. Jonathan Chapman graduated from Candler School of Theology, Emory University, in May 2019 with his Doctor of Ministry in Biblical Witness and Proclamation. His capstone work, The Year of Mark, received the People’s Choice Award among his cohort. While at Candler for his Master of Divinity (May 2010), he was active with the Office of Worship and was awarded the Hoyt Hickman Award for Outstanding Liturgical Scholarship. Jonathan is a 2007 Congregational Fellow and 2006 Undergraduate Fellow with The Fund for Theological Education. He graduated from Elon University in 2007 with a degree in Religious Studies. At Elon, he was selected as a Leadership Fellow and was awarded the W. L. Monroe Christian Education and Personality Award in 2007. While at Elon he joined Elon Community Church, United Church of Christ, the congregation in which he was ordained.
Jonathan joined Westfield in October 2012 and was officially installed as Pastor and Teacher in May 2013, presiding over its revitalization.
He was selected to participate in the Next Generation Leadership Initiative, a program sponsored by the Pension Boards of the United Church of Christ that works with young clergy committed to parish ministry through a decade-long relationship. Dr. Chapman consults with congregations on a variety of topics ranging from revitalization to worship to marketing their churches. Learn more about that work at revjonchapman.com. He married his husband, Greg (pastor of Enfield Congregational Church, United Church of Christ in Enfield, CT), in December of 2014 at Westfield.
He serves on the board of the Westfield Cemetery Association & the Westcott-Wilcox Home, and is a member of the Windham Association Council.

SUSAN THEROUX
DIRECTOR OF MUSIC
Susan grew up in Danielson and now resides in Plainfield with her husband Paul and son Thomas. Susan is a 1989 graduate of Rhode Island College and formerly served as the organist and choir director of the Danielson United Methodist Church. Church has always been a part of her life since birth, especially being the granddaughter of a minister. She was raised in the South Killingly Congregational Church where she sang in the choir and even served as their organist for a short time while in college.
KEVIN WILLIAMS
DIRECTOR OF WELCOME
Kevin Williams joined Westfield in January 2019. He previously served as Pastor at the South Killingly Congregational Church from February 2016 – September 2018. He answered this call following over 25 years of lay leader service with the Gilead Congregational Church UCC of Hebron, CT, including roles as Children’s Choir and Pageant Director, VBS Music Director, Chair of the Long Term Strategic Planning Committee and on call Pulpit Supply. Kevin has also served as Dean of the “I Love To Tell The Story” Conference for Middle Schoolers at Silver Lake Conference Center, and is currently employed by American Express.1Kevin lives in Hebron, CT with his wife of 33 years, Cheri. Their lives have been blessed with four children: Kaitlyn (30), Christina (28), Shannon (24), and Xander (22). Their favorite, though, is their grandchild, Lily!

Donna Bartholomew
DIRECTOR OF CHILDREN
Donna moved to Danielson from McKinney, TX (suburb of Dallas) in March 2023 when her husband of 25 years, Jay, accepted a job in Boston. She graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas in 1994 and taught middle school for several years before staying home to raise their children, Kenna and Finley. Donna has worked in children’s, youth, and family ministry for 10+ years and has completed coursework for her Certification in Youth Ministry at Southern Methodist University.
